Chairman & CEO
Joe Compofelice is the Chairman and CEO of Stuart Pressure Control. His operating experience in the oilfield service industry spans 40+ years and includes 12 years with Smith International (today part of Schlumberger) as President of its choke and drilling systems business. Mr. Compofelice spent 10+ years with Baroid Corporation (today part of Halliburton) as CFO and President of its equipment group. Mr. Compofelice was CEO of Deep Ocean, a Norway based provider of subsea inspection, repair, maintenance and pipe and cable burial. Mr. Compofelice has a BA from Cal State Los Angeles and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Steve Norris is Sr. VP of Operations for Stuart Pressure Control. Mr. Norris has over 35 years of operating, technical and sales experience in the oilfield service industry. Mr. Norris spent 10 years as VP of the BTI division of Superior Energy Services. Prior to that time Mr. Norris was Global Product Line Manager for Weatherford International. Mr. Norris has a BS in Education from Texas A&M University.
Mr. Koch joined Stuart as our Chief Financial Officer in December 2014 and has over 25 years of financial, accounting, SEC reporting, tax, treasury, information technology and M&A experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining Stuart Mr. Koch has held Chief Financial Officer positions at four companies in the energy industry including being a key member of the senior management team for 19 years with the world’s largest land drilling company, Nabors Industries, Inc., including the last six years as CFO. While at Nabors, the company grew from $200 million in revenues to over $5 billion. Mr. Koch spent the first eight years of his career in Big 4 public accounting including the last seven years with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he held various audit roles including senior audit manager. Mr. Koch received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park and passed the CPA exam immediately following graduation.
VP U.S. Rental Tools & Permian Operations
Mr. Shoemaker serves as Vice President of our U.S. Rental Tools and our Permian Operations. He joined Stuart in 2015 in conjunction with Stuart’s acquisition of Broncs Inc., a Permian-based oilfield rental tool and pressure control company that he co-founded in early 2013. Prior to Broncs, Mr. Shoemaker spent 10 years at Blowout Tools, Inc. (BTI) and has over 32 years of experience in the oil and gas industry including 18 months in Kuwait, providing well control equipment to the various companies. Mr. Shoemaker has a vast knowledge of well and pressure control equipment, snubbing stacks, rentals tools, flow back equipment, special services, thru-tubing and well testing skills.
